Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the difference between paper recycling and secure document shredding?

Paper recycling is purely for non-sensitive paper documents. There’s no guarantee the documents won’t be seen by others and most of the time, they aren’t shredded.

Secure document shredding ensures that the paper is kept confidential. The documents are shredding, baled and then recycled. We provide a Certificate of Destruction so you can rest assured your documents were properly destroyed.

Our secure shredding facility is alarmed, access-controlled and under 24/7 surveillance.

  • Do you shred on site?

Over the many years of providing document shredding, we’ve realised that the single best way to have your documents shredded is at a dedicated, secure shredding plant.

There are a few reasons why we don’t shred on site:

  • On-site shredding trucks are noisy. No one wants a loud truck parked outside their office, pumping our diesel fuel and taking time to churn through your documents.
  • On site shredding creates considerable pollution. The truck engine is kept running to operate the shredder. Electric shredders are quiet, efficient and eco-friendly. No diesel fumes.
  • What should I be shredding?

This is an important question. Any document containing information that shouldn’t be shared with another party should be securely disposed of.

If in doubt, shred it.

Invoices, receipts, tax records, customer lists, financial papers etc. An in-depth list will be posted to our blog shortly.

  • What does it cost?

Our shredding services are extremely cost-effective. Pricing is based on your location, frequency of service and type of service required.

We can give you free quote online or via the phone on: (03) 9761 6253

We have one-off (casual), on-call or regular services.

  • Why do I need to shred?

Businesses are required, by Federal Law, to destroy all sensitive information, rather than just throw it out.

Using our shredding service ensures you are Privacy Act complaint.

You can view more information on the Privacy law here.

  • What happens to the paper after it's destroyed?

Upon shredding, the paper is baled (compressed) and recycled.

For every 240 Litre bin of documents, approximately 1.7 trees are saved.
